Important note for manufactured home inspections: if the underwriter requires the engineer to certify the home has never been moved (on its original site), we will need the first two pages of the appraisal and any of the following docs: title for the home, original bill of sale, original building permit, original mortgage on the home, or an affidavit of affixture. There will be an additional fee for us to provide this statement since it is not a FHA requirement for the engineer’s foundation certification and requires additional work on our part (it is traditionally the appraiser’s responsibility to provide this on his/her appraisal).
